Rise to Glory is finished! -- Dec, 4th 2007 @ 11:00 AM

The tournament is finally over and de`pain came out on top after stryfe` put on an amazing comeback from the lower bracket by winning on Deck 3 times in a row but de`pain was able to recompose himself and finally clench a victory on Deck and then finished the job on ShangriLa...not without a little controversy!
Both guys fought hard and it was great to watch them go at it as they had both dominated a lot of players throughout the tournament. Let's not forget that flux was up there too and that he had only lost to de`pain and stryfe` who were 1st and 2nd place.
With everything said and done, we have our standings as follows:
1st place and $125: de`pain
2nd place and $50: stryfe`
3rd place and $25: flux
It's been busy these past few days and while we had our share of obstacles, we hope everyone enjoyed the matches and at least found something to be excited about in UT3!
We really were able to meet a lot of goals and surpassed many expectations but we couldn't have done it without our players who put on many great matches and were patient while we caught up during the first rounds. Thanks to everyone that supported the tournament by watching the casts on PwnageTV and for spreading the word out and thanks to our affiliates for putting up the news about the tournament!
We also want to thank PwnageTV and BattleGear: Servers for really supporting our first tournament with everything they've done. A big thanks goes to DeadSlash and Capt.Crunch for setting up and casting the matches. They were extremely entertaining and I saw that players enjoyed their commentary.
A HUGE HUGE thanks to CptHowdy for providing and setting up the servers at BattleGear: Servers and putting up with all the mess Epic gave him to work with because I know it wasn't easy and for being apart of PwnageTV so he did double duty for us and was extremely helpful the entire way. I can't say enough about the support he gave us! THANK YOU!
Konsept might have been overlooked in a lot of the credit given for the tournament but I want everyone to know that he really did a TON of work setting up the website and really helping to make sure the tournament ran as smooth as possible. He put up with a lot and took it in stride! WINTER 1v1 CHALLENGE! (inside joke)

Next time we do things, it'll be bigger and better so when we announce it, be sure not to miss it!

That's right! We are going to do the last of the lower bracket matches and the final match Monday Dec. 3rd at 6:00PM EST so tune in at to watch! We are going to have some impressive games lined up as stryfe, flux, and de`pain looking to see who's going to take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. They are all guaranteed money but who's gonna get 1st place and all the glory? We'll find out by the end of the night on Monday!
As usual, you can find out the scores of each match by checking out the brackets. We were able to get most of the scores for each match played so you can see the actual results by clicking on the winner of each match found here on the brackets:

We're starting the Championship Bracket today and there's a lot of great matches to look forward to. We are going to have our first shoutcast cover Epitaph vs xDBS and that's sure to be a great matchup. xDBS has never been shoutcast before and he is ready to battle it out.

It was hectic to say the least! Thanks to everyone that played and waited patiently to play while we were figuring out what was going on with the servers. It took awhile to get round 1 done but once we got that finished then we were really starting to move along. We hope you enjoyed some of the shoutcasts! There were some great matches and we’re sure to have more as we move into the championship bracket.
The results of the matches can be found on the brackets page. Click on the winner of each match to see the result. If we received the maps and the scores then we have them included. If you do have the maps and scores and they are not listed then contact Cydnix with that information so it can be put on the brackets.

Rise to Glory kicks off today at 4:00PM EST! -- Dec, 1st 2007 @ 12:29 PM

We are finally here! Today we are starting the tournament at 4:00PM EST and will continue through 3 rounds of intense matches to determine who will play in the 8 man championship bracket.
64 players will quickly be knocked down to 8 today and there could really be some major upsets so it’s going to be exciting. BattleGear: Servers has setup 20 servers and schedules are already posted so pay attention to your times and make sure you arrive early!
PwnageTV is going to be covering the tournament and you can find the schedule and some covered broadcasts by checking out the schedule. All broadcasts will be located on the front page of the PwnageTV website found here:

We have a full tournament but in the event of a no show, we will put in any player that wants in so if you want to play in the tournament then be in #nsomnia on irc.gameradius.org before we start and any no shows will be replaced with backups. All players must make sure they are using their registered name at all times during the tournament.
All players need to check over the rules to make sure they have everything covered. There have been some changes and emails have been sent out but there were a number of emails that came back to me so it’s up to you guys to be up to date on these changes.
We will go over things multiple times on IRC before we start so pay attention and ask questions if you aren’t sure.

We have filled the tournament to capacity and then some! Congrats to everyone that made it in. We are going to keep accepting a few more backups and then we'll close up shop. We'll be updating the player list and backups soon and start working on how to best rank players for seeding.
Be sure to get on irc.gameradius.org and join #ut3.duel to get some 1v1 practice and while you're there, idle in #nsomnia

Team Nsomnia Presents: Rise to Glory -- Nov, 20th 2007 @ 9:25 AM

Team Nsomnia is proud to announce our first tournament! We have been working hard to organize and implement our ideas so that we can give everyone a great tournament early in the life of Unreal Tournament 3.
We are scheduled to start the tournament on December 1st at 4:00 PM EST and finish the next day on December 2nd. We are going to open the sign ups on Wednesday November 21st at 10:00 EST and will accept entries to a maximum of 64 players. If you do not make it in then we will keep you as a backup in case people drop out.
We are definitely having prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the tournament. If we get a lot of support for this tournament then that could change so voice your enthusiasm! Things are going to move fast and the tournament will be here before you know it so be sure to practice and we’ll have more information to announce as we move closer to the tournament.
